First of all I have discovered that the French have a huge Graphic Novel scene. They love them! And its not a nerdy thing, or a comic book thing. The French are just really into Graphic Novels. I was talking to the lady in charge of my program and so she lent me one. She said she would lend me more, but this first one is called "Ordinary Victories" and I really like it so far. I'm trying to finish it soon so I can borrow another one.
I only wrote about the first half of Friday so I will fill in the rest now. We went on a boat tour on the river, it was very nice, and very pretty. We saw alot of the city along the banks of the river. We also met our French language partners. Mine's name was Nans. He is also a Theater major and we got along very well. He was funny, and thought I was funny, so I think that is a good sign. He was VERY French, but in a cool way. I will meet up with him again sometime this next week.
Speaking of the boat trip and seeing cool stuff.... I SAW THE EIFFEL TOWER!!!!!!!!!!!! I was really excited since I hadn't seen it and I'd been in the city for 4 days. It was so awsomely EPIC!!!! So yeah, saw that! I didn't go up it this time but I will soon. Hugo and Nans told me to climb the stairs the 7 stories and then take the elevator the rest of the way. So thats the plan!!!
We chilled out at the hotel for a bit after that, but the internet was down. We (meaning my roomie and I) got ready to go out for the night. Hugo came over to the Hotel and then the threeof us (roomie [named Hali, she's really nice], Hugo, and I) went and met some of the other students for dinner. After we watched the end of the Ghana gane (FIFA Worldcup for those of you not sport people). We were supposed to go out after that but we lost our group and then Hugo had to leave. It ended up being a kind of dissapointing evening, but I will see Hugo again after the program when I go visit him in Toulouse (may be spelled wrong).
I'm going to leave it at that for now until I upload more pictures. So soon to come..,..The Adventures of SATURDAY!!!!! Hazah!!!
...okay so Blogspot is being lame and won't let me upload photos. Next post will be photos I promise!!!!
