okay, i have alot to write, but I am typing on Hugo's sister's computer. Thus, it is a French keyboard, and thus, this will be the hardest post to write. So forgive errors.
Well my travel time today was about 12 hours and I am very tired. My internal clock is way off, because it is like 1pm here, and I just had lunch, but it feels like 5am because it is back home. I caught my plane in Colorado with plenty of time, but i nearly had a panic attack on the plane before we landed. I had an hour lay over and a 45 minute delay with a fiveminute taxi and 10 minutes to get off the plane. By the time I got off the plane my flight to Paris was supposed to be taking off. I was terrified I would miss the plane and Hugo. WIth no flight and no way to contact him I was so worried. I sprinted from gate 24 to gate 7 and caught my plane.
Anywho I got on the plane totally out of breath, but i made it! I watched 3 in flight movies over the course of my 12 hours of plane time. I saw How To Train Your Dragon, The Proposal, and The Ghost Writer. Dragon was my favorite of the three. I got some plane food, yum (not). I slept some but not much. I was happy to get off the plane.
Once I was through customs I found Hugo!!! It is so nice to see him again. It has been 2 years so I was very excited. Then we took the very long drive to return the borrowed car (the airport was outside of Paris and there was traffic so it took us a while). Finally we made it and got a ride from Hugo's brother's wife's mother's (hope you followed that) to the Metro station. My observation of the day... the French drive like Californians. We took the train to his sister' house and then he gave me the grand tour of her flat (where I will be staying tonight).
Then we went for lunch before Hugo had to go to work. We went to this little lunch cafe around the corner. I had a very strange salad that reminded me of something mom would order. Plus a glass of chardonnay(I couldn't resist my first glass of wine in Paris) plus free desert (crème brulle).
Awsome so far but I am so tired that, that is all for now. Night/ Morning/ Afternoon.
